I love this book shop, particularly as it has a massive board games section. Lots to choose from with all sorts of play styles. A good amount of DnD books too which is a personal favourite.

Moving to Cambridge meant moving away from all the game shops I loved. It was great to find Heffers, whose basement is a veritable paradise for the board gaming enthusiast. Recommendations are attached to the shelf giving a personal touch to what can often seem to be a daunting task of selecting a game from the hundreds of excellent options. A great mix of popular games and lesser known gems, with friendly staff to help you navigate.

Heffers: the great Cambridge bookseller

Heffers has been trading in Cambridge since 1876. Now part of the Blackwell's family, we are located opposite Trinity College and sell an amazing array of fiction and non-fiction titles - plus music and stationery and the probably the best range of board games in the country! We also have our own dedicated Children's department; a lovely bright space filled with thousands of books.  Our friendly booksellers are on hand to help you with your choices if you're not sure where to start. We also have a fantastic year-round events programme, featuring both well-known and debut authors, children's activities and games nights.

No trip to the city is complete without visiting Heffers!

(We love bricks and mortar bookshops but if you can't get here in person, you can also order online.)
